Merck is seeking a smart SEO content writer to craft and fact-check articles, proofread, and upload content to respective sites. You will also build story calendars, attend editorial meetings, and support content marketing across platforms.

The role requires at least 1 year of content writing experience, a Bachelor’s in English or related field, and strong SEO knowledge. It is an in-person position based in Ahmedabad/Mumbai with a competitive pay range and benefits.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are in search of a smart, hardworking, detail-oriented and talented SEO content writer. Primary responsibilities include writing and fact-checking articles, proofreading, uploading articles on their respective sites, creating story calendars, attending editorial meetings, and proofreading. A detailed description of roles and responsibilities can be found below:

• Use search engine optimization (SEO) strategies in articles.
• Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic.
• Develop related content for multiple platforms, such as email marketing, videos, and social media posts.
• Communicate and cooperate with the editorial team, including editor, content curators, and designers.
• Content marketing strategy analysis.
• Follow the writing schedule to complete articles within deadlines.
• Collaborate with other members of the editorial team to ensure timely delivery of content.
• Produce well-researched articles within the set time-frame.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Min. 1 year of working as a content writer
• Bachelor's degree in English, communications, linguistics, or related field (Master's degree, a plus)
• Knowledge of SEO and how it applies to content marketing
• Tech-savvy with the ability to make complex technical matters easy-to understand even for non-technical people
