Job Summary

Structural/Principal Structural Engineer supporting the Sentinel program in Roy, Utah. Responsible for the design, analysis, and verification of structural components for the future upgrade of the Minuteman III missile and flight test facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze structural engineering specifications for metals, non‑metallic and composite materials.
  • Perform damage tolerance, durability, design allowables, and structural modeling.
  • Conduct structural dynamics, load, stability, stress, fatigue, and thermal analyses.
  • Use CATIA, IDEAS, ProEngineer, Nastran (or equivalent), MATLAB, and other software tools.
  • Execute modal, transient, time‑domain, frequency‑domain, and random vibration analyses.
  • Apply vibroacoustics analysis to launch vehicles, spacecraft, and rocket engines.
  • Collaborate with systems engineering, aerodynamics, stress analysis, design, and test teams.
  • Use and maintain NX 3D models, CPLM, and TeamCenter, as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • Structural Engineer: 2years relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science.
  • 1year of experience with a Master’s; 5years relevant experience with a Bachelor for Principal Engineer; 3years with a Master; 1year with a PhD.
  • U.S. citizenship and active DoD Secret clearance within 6years, or eligibility for Special Program Access (SAP).
  • Professional knowledge of missile and/or spacecraft structures, statics, strength of materials, and structural dynamics principles.
  • Programming proficiency in MATLAB (or equivalent) for analysis and data manipulation.
  • Experience with modal, transient, time‑domain, frequency‑domain, and random vibration analyses in Nastran (or equivalent).
  • Experience with launch vehicle, spacecraft, and rocket engine vibroacoustics analysis.
  • Experience with seismic analysis (ASCE7), structural test applications, and missile program requirements with propulsion.
Nice to Have
  • Proficiency with ABAQUS, FEMAP, ANSYS.
  • Exposure to structural test applications.
  • Experience with seismic analysis (ASCE7).
  • Exposure to missile program requirements and propulsion.
  • Experience with NX 3D models, CPLM, TeamCenter, CPLM.
Salary Range

Primary Level: $77,200.00–$115,800.00. Secondary Level: $95,300.00–$142,900.00. Base salary may vary based on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions.

Schedule
