Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff Industrial Engineer - 14611. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel program.

This position requires a highly motivated self-starter with knowledge in the fabrication, assembly, system integration, and testing of hardware. The candidate will be involved with shop floor planning and analysis for the Command and Launch integrated facility and how products flow in the overall manufacturing process. The candidate will need to demonstrate exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, have the ability to task orient and communicate effectively with varying levels of Customer, NGC, and Supplier employees and leadership.

The qualified applicant will have:

  • Strong foundation in Industrial Engineering fundamentals
  • Proficiency in capacity principles (efficiencies, standards, constraints, etc)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing flows and their interface with shop floor and Global Supply Chain
  • Experience with project and manufacturing schedules
  • Understanding of schedule waterfall build with setbacks to independent demands
  • Experience with labor standard development and work measurement
  • Experience with facility layout and ability to visualize and layout routings
  • Ability to include factory and facility layout responsibilities
  • Experience with cost management (Earned Value, Milestone payments)
  • Ability to collaborate with programs and functional organizations to interpret manufacturing requirements
  • Strong organizational, planning, and decision-making skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and be a self-starter
  • Presentation skills (PowerPoint, speaking in front of management, technical presentations)
  • Ability to visualize and layout routings (Flow chart, Excel, etc)

Job qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with 12 years of relevant experience; Master's with 10 years; PhD with 8 years; or equivalent experience. Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain Top Secret and SAP clearance. Experience with facility layout, labor standards, and manufacturing flows is required.

Preferred qualifications include a STEM degree, proficiency in capacity principles, project schedules, cost management, and collaboration skills.

Salary range: $134,300.00 - $201,500.00, with considerations for experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Benefits and additional compensation details are provided. The application period is approximately 20 days from posting.
