Position Overview

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Engineer DevOps. This position will be located in Roy, Utah; Huntsville, Alabama; Colorado Springs, Colorado or Manhattan Beach, California and will support the Sentinel program.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Qualifications

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • Sr. Principal Engineer DevOps: 08 Years with Bachelor’s in related field of study, 06 Years with Masters, 04 Years with PhD or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree.
  • US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
  • 5 years experience with build tools (e.g., Maven, Ant, GNU make) and/or continuous integration environments (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo) and/or repositories (e.g., Nexus, JFROG).
  • IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • 5 years experience with Jira/Confluence in an Agile environment.
  • Proficiency with Linux-based software development tools.
  • 5 years experience with Microsoft and Linux Red Hat operating systems.
  • 5 years experience with scripting languages (e.g., PERL, Python, Bash, YAML).
  • 5 years experience with Kubernetes implementation and Day 2 Operations.
  • 5 years experience with VMware Cloud Foundation, Terraform, vCenter, vSphere, or similar Virtual Provisioning.
  • 5 years experience with container technologies.
  • 5 years experience developing and implementing CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues.
  • Working knowledge of Cybersecurity technologies, NIST standards, and RMF governance.
Nice to Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
  • Experience with automation/configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef).
  • Experience with source code management tools (e.g., git).
  • Experience with HashiCorp Packer and Vault.
  • Familiarity with container hardening and SBOM.
  • Proficiency with DOORS, Cameo, and ability to write and decompose system and software requirements.
  • SAP access.

Salary Range: $118,600.00 - $206,000.00
