Clearance: Secret clearance required; ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval

The system safety team applies engineering principles to identify hazards, analyze risks, and develop mitigations to ensure safety across the system lifecycle. Responsibilities include hazard analysis, safety requirement development, safety documentation, and supporting safety reviews and audits. The role involves collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting test range safety operations.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and recommend safety features in system designs
  • Support design, testing, and operational phases with safety expertise
  • Create safety requirements and documentation
  • Conduct safety audits and observe operational procedures
  • Manage requirements and verification activities using tools like DOORS and CAMEO
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in STEM with 5+ years' experience; 3+ years with Master’s; 1+ year with PhD
  • US Citizen with active DoD Secret clearance (investigation within last 6 years)
  • Ability to obtain SAP approval
  • Experience in systems engineering, requirements, V&V, and MIL-STD-882E
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ICBM systems (e.g., Minuteman III)
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations (e.g., AFMAN 91-203, OSHA, AIAA S-113A)

Compensation

Salary range: $95,300 - $124,900, based on experience and qualifications. Additional bonuses and incentives may apply.
