Job summary

Northrop Grumman Strategic Defense Systems seeks a Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer for Re-Entry System Electronics (RSE) in Roy, UT with the Sentinel Program.

You will lead system lifecycle activities, validate designs, and interface with Air Force customers while applying engineering standards across complex systems of systems. The role demands DoD Secret clearance, with potential for Top Secret/SAP, and experience across requirements, design, and verification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in STEM with 5 years of experience, or 3 years with a master's, or 0 with a PhD.
• Active U.S. Government DoD Secret clearance at time of application, current within last 6 years.
• Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance and SAP within business needs.
• 2 years of experience in broad application of complex engineering systems for development of complex systems of systems.
• 2 years of experience with Requirements verification activity including test and analysis.

Northrop Grumman Strategic Defense Systems is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer for Re-Entry System Electronics (RSE). This position will be with our Payloads IPT of the Sentinel Program located in Roy, UT. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications:

Principal Systems Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 5 years of experience, 3 years of experience with master's degree, 0 years of experience with PhD.
• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
• Must have the ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) within a reasonable period as determined by the business needs of the company.
• 2 years of experience in broad application of complex engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.) for the development of complex systems of systems
• 2 years of experience with Requirements verification activity including test and analysis

Sr. Principal Systems Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 8 years of experience, 6 years of experience with master's degree, 4 years of experience with PhD.
• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
• Must have current Special Access Program (SAP) approval at time of hire.
• Must have Mk21/Mk21A interface management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Electrical Engineering Degree strongly preferred.
• ICBM Experience (MMIII or Sentinel)
