Qualifications

• EVMS/CAM experience.
• Project management experience and Agile methodology experience.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Job Summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an experienced Launch Execution Systems Engineering Manager 3 for the Command Systems Hardware OU located in Roy, UT. The role will support the Sentinel program and involves leading and mentoring the CS HW Launch Ex team, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, developing engineering processes, overseeing design, development, testing, managing product lifecycle, and providing updates to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the CS HW Launch Ex team, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance culture.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including product management, design, and quality assurance, to define product requirements and specifications.
• Develop and implement engineering processes and standards to enhance product quality and efficiency.
• Oversee the design, development, and testing phases of new products, ensuring alignment with market needs and strategic goals.
• Manage the product lifecycle from conception to launch, conducting risk assessments and ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
• Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
• Manage MBSE products for the development lifecycle; requires extensive MBSE knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a minimum 8 years of related experience, or Master’s degree in STEM with 6 years of related experience.
• Must have an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at the time of application, current and within scope (< 6 years), with the ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval within a reasonable period of time.
• EVMS/CAM experience.
• Project management experience and experience with Agile methodology.
• Strong communication, cross‑functional integration, and interpersonal skills, capable of working with various stakeholders.
• Experience with distributed command and control systems engineering implementation.

Nice to Have

• Master's Degree with 9 years of experience in STEM, preferably an Engineering degree.
• Proven performance as an Engineering Leader in all phases of acquisition, design, integration, and execution.
• Demonstrated mentoring and guidance of engineers.
• Working knowledge and/or experience across engineering disciplines.
• Minimum of 3 years in a formal management position, managing one or more engineering teams.
• Experience on ICBMs.
• Experience creating or growing new sections or departments.
• Experience managing an engineering team.
• Familiarity with Agile engineering and Jira.
• Active TS Clearance.
• Existing Sentinel Program Access.

Employment Requirements

Relocation assistance may be available. The position requires a Secret clearance and will involve 10% travel. Work schedule is 9/80. U.S. citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance. The role may also require Special Access Program approval.

Salary Range

Primary Level Salary Range: $166,700.00 - $250,100.00. Base salary depends on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and long‑term incentives. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and support company results. Additional benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
