Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an experienced Launch Execution Systems Engineering Manager 3 to lead the CS HW Launch Ex team in Roy, UT, supporting the Sentinel program. You will collaborate with product management, design, and QA to define requirements and drive lifecycle processes.

The role requires a strong STEM background, 8+ years of experience, an active Secret clearance, and proven PM and MBSE capabilities to guide engineering efforts and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8+ years of related experience, or Master's with 6+ years.
  • Active U.S. Government Secret clearance at time of application and ability to obtain SAP approval.
  • EVMS/CAM experience and project management experience with Agile methodologies.

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an experienced Launch Execution Systems Engineering Manager 3 for the Command Systems Hardware OU. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a record of successful project management in a product engineering environment. You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a minimum 8 years of related experience or Master's degree in STEM with 6 years of related experience
  • Must have an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope (< 6 years) , with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
  • EVMS/CAM experience
  • Project management experience and experience with Agile methodology.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Master's Degree with 9 years of experience in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) preferably an Engineering degree
  • Proven performance as an Engineering Leader in all phases of acquisition, design, integration, and execution. Candidate will require ability to rapidly assess and lend guidance to projects assigned to the organizational group as well as demonstrated mentoring and guidance to engineers.
  • Working knowledge and/or experience across engineering disciplines.
  • Experience with distributed command and control systems engineering implementation
  • Minimum of 3 years in a formal management position, managing one or more engineering teams
  • Strong communication, cross-functional integration, and interpersonal skills, capable of working with various stakeholders.
  • Experience on ICBMs
  • Experience creating or growing new sections or departments.
  • Experience managing an engineering team
  • Familiarity with Agile engineering and Jira
  • Active TS Clearance
  • Existing Sentinel Program Access

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Primary Level Salary Range: $166,700.00 - $250,100.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
