The Sentinel Digital Ecosystem Segment Systems Engineer will be responsible for systems engineering technical baseline maturation to drive successful development and sell-off of systems within the Digital Ecosystem segment. The Systems Engineer will work with a cross-disciplinary team under the guidance of Lead Systems Engineers, other program leadership, and customer representatives to pursue incremental capability insertions across the Digital Ecosystem. The ideal candidate has experience with model-based engineering, exposure to software-centric systems and digital engineering, and experience with complex systems lifecycle management. This position is based in either Roy, UT, Huntsville, AL or Colorado Springs, CO and may offer a competitive relocation package
Basic Qualifications
Digital Ecosystem Systems Engineer T2
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) discipline and 2 years of relevant experience, or a Masters’ Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of relevant experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years, current and within scope.
- Must have an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
- Systems engineering experience throughout the program lifecycle.
- Demonstrated experience in program adoption of digital engineering concepts, methods, and processes.
Digital Ecosystem Principal Systems Engineer T3
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of relevant experience, or a Masters’ Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of relevant experience, or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 1 years of relevant experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years, current and within scope.
- Must have an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
- Systems engineering experience throughout the program lifecycle.
- Demonstrated experience in program adoption of digital engineering concepts, methods, and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Good communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) and partnership/collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated experience in MBSE.
- Experience with Project Lifecycle Management, manufacturing, and sustainment are a plus.
- Experience with cloud-based environments, high performance computing, and virtualized environments.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00Salary Range 2: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
