Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is looking for a Command Systems Test Engineering Manager 2 to support the Sentinel program in Roy, UT. The role requires a U.S. DoD Secret clearance and hands-on experience in system integration and test planning.

Responsibilities
- Develop customer contractual needs and requirements into test solutions that acknowledge technical schedule and cost constraints.
- Design, develop, and implement test plans, procedures, and schedules.
- Lead the preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans for the Command Systems System Integration Lab (CSIL).
- Coordinate with subject matter experts, Element Test teams, System Test teams, and other stakeholders to identify test objectives, requirements, and risks.
- Support development of instrumentation requirements for Hardware in the Loop testing and coordinate with Design & Integration teams for budget and personnel needs.
- Oversee test activities for requirement verification and validation, including daily briefings and approval of test starts.
- Conduct tabletop reviews, dry-run test procedures, Technical and Safety Review Boards, and Test Readiness Reviews.
- Prepare Test Planning Team charters, coordinate with the Quality organization, and review/approve major test amendments.
- Provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills, interfacing with all levels of employees and management.
- Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to define test objectives and requirements in a hardware-in-the-loop laboratory environment.
Technical Leadership
- Lead and manage a diverse group of test engineers across multiple scrum teams.
- Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment.
- Navigate requirements in DOORS and apply Model Based Systems Engineering principles, including DODAF and SysML.
- Compile data and define changes to test equipment, procedures, or new test requirements.
- Manage test planning, execution, reporting, and integration support.
- Conduct system integration, regression, and verification/validation testing.
- Collaborate with systems, software, and lab users to meet test requirements.
- Develop and release engineering documentation and detailed test reports.
- Support product integration, regression, and verification testing, including checkout in system test labs.
- Plan short- and long-term integration and execution of multiple concurrent baselines.
- Integrate subsystem functionality into system capabilities with a focus on stability and performance.
People Leadership
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to staff to meet performance objectives.
- Directly manage staff and provide clear direction.
- Support organizational engineering initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree with 6 years of related experience.
- Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance, current and within scope, with ability to obtain SAP approval in a reasonable period.
- At least 3 years of experience in system integration and test planning, procedure development, execution, and test reporting.
- Understanding of systems engineering principles and processes, requirements decomposition, allocation, design, and analysis.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship with an Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years).
- At least 1 year of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
- Current Sentinel Program Access.
- Experience leading a team or project; ability to motivate others to meet complex objectives.
- Familiarity with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience navigating specifications and requirements in DOORS.
- Experience applying systems thinking and engineering best practices.
- Previous experience setting up a lab environment/Hardware in the Loop test bed.
- Knowledge of CAMEO and/or Model Based Systems Engineering principles.
- CAM/EVMS experience.

This position has a standard 9/80 work schedule.
Salary Range
Primary Level Salary Range: $126,600.00 - $189,800.00.
