Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an AVE PMO Systems Engineering Manager 3. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You Will Get To Do

The selected candidate will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team across Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) skillsets (Booster, G&C, PBACM, Payloads, SE&I) to develop and mature the TMRR/Milestone-B proposal and execution. This includes coordination across AVE Elements to ensure successful execution of PDR milestones as defined by the USAF restructure team. The candidate will also work with the Sentinel restructure team, USAF, and multiple cross-team stakeholders to contribute to, develop, and execute the Sentinel Restructure and Milestone B recertification.

In accordance with Northrop Grumman leadership values, the TMRR/MS-B lead will provide leadership guidance and support by helping their team develop skills, set goals, and resolve issues, both individually and programmatically. In addition, as an assignment manager over a team of engineers, you will be responsible to assist Functional Management with employee development, policy compliance, performance management, and more as required by your Functional and Assignment manager.

The TMRR/MS-B lead will demonstrate strong leadership skills. They will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as IWO partners. The candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business. This candidate will have the ability to build diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, and the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success collaborating and leading engineering teams through the full life cycle of a development program.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This position may offer a competitive relocation package.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with 8+ years of related experience
  • 3 years of experience in a formal lead/management position
  • Experience writing BOEs and proposals
  • Experience with USAF customer driving technical and programmatic meetings
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)

These Qualifications Would Be Nice To Have

  • 5 years of experience managing or leading a multi-disciplinary team
  • 5 years of experience with ICBM Weapon System
  • Experience in a large program PDR campaign for SE scope. Includes RvsC, Entrance/Exit criteria, CDRL development etc
  • Experience leading a proposal team
  • Current SAP clearance

Salary Range: $161,500.00 - $242,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
