We are looking for a Sensory & Lab Technician in 5707 Waterford District Dr, Miami, FL 33126 USA. Your mission will be to:
SUMMARY:
The Technician I supports the QA and sensory evaluation programs by performing a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to: logging in and storing product samples, ingredients, and lab supplies, accurate measurement of samples, cleaning and maintenance of test kitchen equipment, preparing products on specified RBI equipment for testing and administration of product evaluations. Leading sensory evaluations and managing data for internal/external reporting.

ISO 17025 Management System Authorities and Responsibilities:
Has the responsibility and authority to identify departures from the management system or from the procedures for performing tests, and to initiate actions to prevent or minimize such departures. Has the responsibility and authority to identify and halt non-conforming work in their scope of work. Has the authority to operate instruments, equipment and perform tests when documented as qualified in training records.

YOUR PROFILE
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED, with 1–3 years experience as a technician or a combination of education and work experience indicating an ability to effectively perform the essential functions of the position.
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of: Basic computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel), general safety practices, and food service or food technology.
Ability to: work with others as part of a team, communicate effectively in both oral and written forms; compose quality written materials; and effectively present information to other members of staff. Climb ladders, frequently lift, carry and/or push light to heavy materials, as well as stand and walk most of the day.
Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMMUNICATION:
It is a policy of Merieux NutriSciences for maintaining continuous communication links with clients, both internal and external. The goal will be to respond to client inquiries within one hour, but in all cases within one business day. Merieux NutriSciences contact personnel who are not on vacation will check voicemail and e-mail with sufficient frequency to meet client’s communications needs and respond promptly to clients. E-mail links can be maintained during travel either by laptop computer, Blackberry or calling into a designated individual who is checking client contact personnel e-mail several times a day.
