Job summary

Waymo, the leader in autonomous driving, seeks an ML/CV engineer in Mountain View, CA to join the Perception team. You will apply ML and CV techniques to build robust perception systems for the Waymo Driver and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; strong deep learning background.
• 3+ years of experience in Machine Learning and/or Computer Vision.
• Experience with C++ and Python.
• Experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch or JAX.

Responsibilities

• Apply sensor fusion, machine learning techniques to build multi‑modal sensor fusion architectures and spatial‑temporal representation learners to solve real‑world challenges
• Develop and deploy machine learning models, including using Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) systems, and non‑ML systems to solve those challenging problems
• Develop data mining, labeling, training and evaluation pipelines to support the onboard development
• Collaborate and work in partnership with product, infrastructure and research teams across Waymo
