Job summary

Shield AI in Seattle, WA seeks a Sensor Integration Engineer to support selection, characterization, calibration, and integration of multi-modal navigation sensors for the X-BAT State Estimation team. This role sits at the intersection of software, electrical, and mechanical engineering, collaborating across disciplines.

You will develop sensor characterization procedures, contribute to trade studies, and participate in design reviews.

Qualifications

• BS in an engineering field; 1–4 years relevant experience; cross-functional internship/project experience considered
• Ability to work across at least two of electrical, mechanical, software domains; security clearance desired

Responsibilities

• Assist sensor selection, integration, and characterization from specification through production
• Collaborate with EE/ME/SW teams on interfaces, mounting, and data acquisition
• Develop and execute test plans for sensor performance and calibration
• Document sensor characteristics, trade studies, and integration requirements
• Develop or modify calibration scripts and data processing tools
• Review schematics, CAD models, and code as needed
