Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Sensor Integration Engineer to support selection, characterization, calibration, and integration of multi-modal navigation sensors for aerospace applications. This role intersects electrical, mechanical, and software engineering to drive cross-functional collaboration.

You will develop test plans, perform calibration, and contribute to sensor trade studies while engaging with EE/ME/SW teams and supporting occasional travel for integration and testing.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Physics, or related field.
• 1–4 years of relevant experience; new grads considered.
• Ability to work across electrical, mechanical, and software domains.
• Ability to obtain a S//SAR security clearance is desired.

Responsibilities

• Support sensor integration activities from specification through production.
• Develop and execute sensor characterization and calibration procedures for IMUs, GNSS, cameras, and other navigation sensors.
• Contribute to sensor trade studies and selection processes.
• Develop test plans for sensor performance characterization and validation.
• Review schematics, CAD models, and code as necessary.
