Job summary

Meta Reality Labs is seeking a Sensor Electrical Engineer to join the System EE Team for the next generation Smart Glasses. You will drive sensor electrical design, work on leading-edge technologies, and collaborate across functions to deliver hardware platforms.

This role involves hands-on bring-up, verification, and integrating sensing technologies. You will contribute to MR/VR product development, manage cross-functional coordination, and push for efficient, ethical AI-driven improvements in

Qualifications

• 6+ years work experience in Electrical Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in consumer electronics or related fields.
• 4+ years of experience in embedded or mobile system design, sensing technologies and architecture, circuit design, board bring-up and product NPI experience.
• Experience leading technical teams, cross-functional groups and vendors.
• Hands-on hardware bring-up, debugging, and functional verification.
• Experience bringing new technologies to product.
• Experience integrating sensing technologies such as optical sensors, capacitive touch sensors or motion sensors.
• Experience performing bench level power measurements and analytical work.
• Knowledge of the relationship between physical layout and electrical performance.
• Experience communicating novel concepts to broad audience succinctly and in simple terms.
• Experience in modeling, developing test scripts and firmware.
• Proficiency with data collection and analysis tools including JMP, Python, LabView, MATLAB and other scripting languages.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact.
• Experience adhering to responsible, ethical AI practices and ongoing AI skill development.

As a Sensor Electrical Engineer, you will be a member of our System EE Team for the next generation Smart Glasses; driving the sensor electrical design and development, working on leading edge technologies, and collaborating with the cross-functional teams to deliver on our HW platforms. You will be part of a tight-knit group of highly skilled engineers at the forefront of the innovation for Meta HW products (MR/VR, etc.).
