Job summary

Samsung Israel R&D Center (SIRC) seeks an Image Processing Algorithm Engineer to join the Sensor FEISP R&D team and advance next-generation Samsung image sensors. You will develop image-processing algorithms and system-level solutions tailored for challenging hardware constraints.

You will analyze sensor data, extract root causes, and craft practical, robust solutions, working with RTL, firmware, and image-quality teams to bring algorithms from concept to silicon.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant industry experience in image processing, signal processing, algorithms, digital design, or related engineering field.
• Experience programming in Python and/or C/C++.
• Fluency in English and strong communication skills.
• Ability to reason about complex systems with interacting components and constraints.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to experimentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop image-processing algorithms and system-level solutions for Samsung image sensors.
• Analyze sensor behavior and image data to identify root causes and design practical solutions.
• Translate concepts into hardware-efficient algorithms considering fixed-point arithmetic and hardware constraints.
• Collaborate with RTL, verification, firmware, and image-quality teams to integrate algorithms into final products.
• Ensure robustness across different sensor modes, configurations, and real-world conditions.
