Job summary

Sensitive Technical Operations Planner

The Opportunity:

As an Integrated Joint Sensitive Technical Operations Planner (IJSTO) Planner, you’ll bring your strategic planning expertise to work on projects. You’ll provide subject matter expertise to ensure special access programs (SAP) and sensitive technical operations (STO) are seamlessly woven into the Command's Operational Plans, Contingency Plans, Theater Campaign Plans, and theater exercises. You'll serve as the primary author for associated Annex S documents and be a trusted advisor to our clients. We’ll look to you to identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, processes, and facilitate the safe integration of SAP and STO capabilities into various planning processes and products.

You Have:
  • Experience planning and integrating Special Access Programs in Combatant Command, Service, or applicable plans or operations
  • Knowledge of the Joint Planning Process
  • Ability to write and integrate Annex S documents into Command Plans
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • HS diploma or GED and 4+ years of experience in Sensitive Technical Operations or 6+ years of experience in Sensitive Technical Operations in lieu of a degree

  • Knowledge of SAP, ACCM, Sensitive Activities protocols, security standards, and systems
  • Ability to manage and facilitate high-level meetings and working groups
  • Ability to brief senior leaders
  • Possession of exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in Sensitive Technical Operations or 5+ years of experience in Sensitive Technical Operations in lieu of a degree
  • Completion of a STO planner course and PDAS user course
Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
