Job summary

Core One is seeking a Sensitive Activities Planner to support SOF wargaming and strategic planning under an active TS/SCI clearance. This role requires experience with DoD Combatant Commands or Joint Staff and developing regional perspectives for senior leaders.

You will conduct analyses, brief senior leaders, and build cross‑agency relationships to inform USSOCOM’s future operating environment while ensuring security discipline and collaboration in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ strategy and sensitive activities experience, preferably SOF related, working at a DoD Combatant Command or Joint Staff or a 4-Star Command within the past 10 years.
• 5+ years’ experience conducting strategic /regional studies and assessments for the analysis, and synchronization of the command strategy.
• Strong analytical skills and written and oral communication.
• 5+ years’ experience as a sensitive activities planner.
• 5+ years’ experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g., SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel).
• Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance

Responsibilities

• Support the development, planning and execution of SOF- peculiar and SOF- exquisite capabilities of all levels of Joint, Military Service, combined and Headquarters wargames, seminars, workshops, and table-top exercises.
• Conduct analysis and assessments of SOF-peculiar and SOF-exquisite capabilities to provide senior leaders the deep situational understanding they require to make timely and critical decisions for all Joint/Service/HQSOCOM wargames.
• Provide analysis for strategic planning meetings, briefings, seminars, and strategy war games, and provide required SOF subject matter expertise to events related to the future operating environment and interoperability of SOF.
• Develop/leverage professional relationships from across the DoD, interagency, and intelligence community to deliver precise and unique regional and country-specific perspectives to USSOCOM’s senior leaders.
