Job summary

Sumaria Systems is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Architect - Zero Trust to support NASIC and modernize sensitive environments at Wright-Patterson AFB. You will provide senior advisory expertise across Zero Trust architecture, cybersecurity modernization, and enterprise network strategy, collaborating with government and technical teams.

The role requires a decade of related experience, DoD/IC familiarity, and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable modernization roadmaps

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship.
• Demonstrated cybersecurity architecture experience within complex enterprise environments.
• Working knowledge of Zero Trust concepts and architecture principles.
• Experience with enterprise network, cloud, data, application, or identity security architectures.
• Understanding of DoD RMF requirements and processes.
• translate gaps into modernization recommendations.
• Ability to communicate complex cybersecurity concepts to both technical and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work across Government, engineering, intelligence, cyber, data, and acquisition organizations.

Responsibilities

• Assess architectures against DoD Zero Trust principles and identify gaps and risks.
• Develop and evaluate Zero Trust architectures across IAM, devices, networks, data, and workloads.
• Translate mission requirements into actionable architectures and roadmaps.
• Support enterprise architecture and network design in classified environments.
• Evaluate identity-centric access, least-privilege, and policy enforcement.
• Assess cloud capabilities for security and interoperability for DoD environments.
• Support secure data architectures addressing access control and governance.
• Recommend solutions to improve mission security while enabling agility.
• Collaborate with data engineers, cloud architects, network engineers, and software teams.
• Support architecture reviews, trade studies, and risk assessments.
• Identify opportunities to use automation, analytics, and AI/ML for security visibility.
• Integrate Zero Trust with DevSecOps, cloud-native development, and modernization.
