Job summary

Carinity - Gladstone is seeking a Senior Youth Worker - Learning Support to lead a dedicated team and drive student success.

You will champion best-practice youth work, support and supervise Youth Workers, and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment to empower students to build confidence and achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Youth Work or related discipline.
• Experience supporting vulnerable, disengaged or marginalised young people to achieve positive outcomes.
• Strong understanding of co-regulation practices and trauma-informed approaches to behaviour support.
• Experience leading, supervising and mentoring Youth Workers in complex environments.
• Maintain accurate, timely case notes, records and reports to support effective case management.
• Strong communication skills with students, families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
• Current Bus Licence (LR) or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

About The Role

Carinity - Gladstone is seeking a passionate, experienced, and proactive Senior Youth Worker - Learning Support (SYWLS) to join our committed and student focused team.

In this rewarding leadership role, you will champion best practice youth work, providing guidance, support, and supervision to our Youth Worker team while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. • A Diploma of Youth Work or a related discipline
• Experience supporting vulnerable, disengaged or marginalized young people to achieve positive outcomes

• Demonstrated experience leading, supervising and mentoring Youth Workers in a complex or challenging environment
• Maintain accurate, timely and detailed case notes, records, and reports to support effective case management and positive student outcomes
• Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Current Bus Licence (LR) or willingness to obtain
