Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Professional to drive awareness and adoption within the VA (Veterans Affairs) hospital system and Department of Defense (DoD) hospitals. This role focuses driving adoption of BioStem's placental tissue allografts in VA medical centers, DoD military treatment facilities (MTFs), and associated government healthcare facilities, and potentially, Safety Net Hospitals as assigned. The ideal candidate will have expertise in navigating federal procurement processes, experience in the chronic wound market, ability to build strong relationships with key decision-makers, and proven success in driving adoption and revenue within the government healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities - Including but are not limited to the following, other duties may be applied.

  • Business Development in Assigned Territory
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to drive adoption within VA hospitals, DoD military and Indian Health treatment facilities to meet assigned growth targets.
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders, including procurement officers, administrators, physicians, and clinical staff.
  • Present and demonstrate products/services, addressing specific needs within federal healthcare systems.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation through conversion as documented in Salesforce.
  • Support and coordinate 1099 Rep. efforts and initiative as needed and instructed


Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Experience selling to VA hospitals, DoD military treatment facilities, or other federal healthcare systems.
  • Wound Care Experience Preferred
  • Strong knowledge of government procurement processes, including VA and DoD contracting mechanisms including a deep understanding of Federal and State Contracts (GSA, FA, DLA).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed to cover VA, DoD and Indian Health institutions within assigned territory and attend industry events.


Government Procurement & Compliance
  • Understand and navigate federal procurement processes, including:
  • VA: Federal Supply Schedule (FSS), GSA Schedule, Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC), National Acquisition Center (NAC), and open market purchases.
  • DoD: Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Defense Health Agency (DHA), ECAT (Electronic Catalog), DAPA (Distribution and Pricing Agreement), and TRICARE procurement processes.
  • Ensure Account Management & Relationship Building
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with VA and DoD hospital personnel, fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Provide product education, training, and support to clinical and procurement teams.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, staying informed about evolving VA and DoD healthcare initiatives and challenges.
