Qualifications

5+ years of workers' compensation underwriting experience across industrial classes.
Marketing experience with independent agents (3–5 years).
Strong managerial skills and ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Underwrite accounts over $25,000 within authority.
Manage a book of business totaling at least $10,000,000.
Develops and maintains relationships with 10-15 agencies.
Collaborate with partners in Key Alliance agency structure.
Aim to achieve loss ratio, rate change, renewal retention and inforce premium goals.
Suggest improvements in underwriting principles and appetite.
Comply with filings and regulatory requirements.
Research market niches and participate in special projects.
Knowledge base of agency needs, staff, target markets, and insurer.
Perform agency evaluations and set goals within timeframes.
Participate in new and renewal team sales activities and Client Service Management meetings.
