Job summary

Zenith Insurance Company is seeking an experienced California Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster to investigate liability, determine compensability, and settle claims within authorized limits. The role requires strong communication, math and regulatory knowledge, plus timely documentation and reserve management.

You will open new claims, interview witnesses, negotiate settlements, and maintain relationships with injured workers and employers.

Qualifications

• Must have California Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster Certification/ designation.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and determine liability and settle claims within monetary guidelines.
• Interview medical specialists, agents, witnesses, or claimants to gather information.
• Open new claims, conduct investigations, and determine compensability and subrogation possibilities.
• Set reserves and maintain data integrity in the system.
• Negotiate settlements with injured workers and attorneys.
• Maintain regular contact with injured workers, employers and agents to build credibility.
