Job summary

Zenith Insurance Company seeks an experienced California Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster to investigate liability, determine compensability, and negotiate settlements. You will interview medical specialists, agents, and claimants, and set reserves within Zenith’s guidelines to protect financial interests.

Required are CA WC claims experience, adjuster certification, and a high school diploma (or equivalent).

Qualifications

• California Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster Certification/ designation required.
• CA workers' comp claims experience is a must.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
• Advanced technical workers' compensation claims knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Opens new claims, completes three-point contact, and performs investigations to determine compensability.
• Sets appropriate reserves according to company guidelines.
• Negotiates settlements with injured workers and/or attorneys within authority.
• Maintains regular contact with injured workers, employers and agents to build credibility.
