Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience handling Workers’ Compensation claims.
• Knowledge of claims terminology and handling.
• Effective negotiation skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to self-motivate and work independently, excels in organization and time management skills

Responsibilities

• Investigates and settles claims promptly and equitably.
• Reviews claim and policy information to support investigation.
• Obtains statements from insureds, claimants, witnesses, physicians, attorneys, police officers, etc.
• Evaluates facts to determine liability and company obligation under the policy.
• Prepares reports on investigation, settlements, denials, and evaluations; sets reserves within authority.
