Job summary

ABC Fitness is seeking a Workday Finance specialist in the United States to support and implement Workday modules including Prism and Accounting Center. You will partner with Finance on requirements, develop dashboards, and help with security roles and data governance.

The role involves close collaboration with accounting teams, experience in month-end close, and the ability to translate business needs into effective Workday configurations. Remote-friendly, with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with Workday Finance in implementation/consulting/technical support roles.
• 2+ years implementing or supporting Workday Prism and/or Accounting Center.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Workday FIN Core and Workday Prism certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise in Workday Financials modules (Finance Accounting, Prism, Accounting Center, Procurement, etc.).
• Address day-to-day production issues and contribute to new process design and module implementations.
• Support month-end and year-end closes with end-user training and documentation.
• Develop and maintain Prism datasets, data sources, and dashboards for financial insights.
• Partner with Finance to translate business requirements into Workday solutions (reports, dashboards, integrations).
• Maintain Workday security roles, data governance, and compliance.
• Lead testing for new module rollouts and Workday releases.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Serve as a subject matter expert in Workday Financials modules including but not limited to Financial Accounting, Prism, Accounting Center, Procurement, Supplier Accounts, Supplier Contracts, Customer Accounts, Expenses, Cash Management, Business AssetsAddress day-to-day production issues and be also involved in new process design initiatives and new module implementations projectsProvide on-demand support for the accounting/finance teams during month-end and year-end close activitiesSupport strategic initiatives with requirements gathering, functionality research, testing and implementationDevelop, optimize, and maintain Prism datasets, data sources, calculated fields, and dashboards to provide actionable financial insights.Research and provide documentation for current and upcoming Workday capabilitiesPartner with Finance and Accounting teams to translate business requirements into Workday solutions (reports, dashboards, integrations, accounting rules).Maintain and enhance Workday Financials security roles, ensuring proper data governance and compliance.Drive reporting and analytics strategy, leveraging Prism and Workday-delivered reporting tools.Support new module rollouts, system upgrades, and ongoing Workday releases by testing and validating functionality.Provide end-user training, documentation, and support for Finance stakeholders.Support the business with complex reporting and analytics requests

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

4+ years of experience working with Workday Finance in an implementation/consulting/technical support role2+ years implementing or supporting Workday Prism and/or Accounting CenterExcellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.Strong written skills to accommodate quality technical documentationBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experienceWorkday FIN Core and Workday Prism certification is preferred

Full project lifecycle and workday implementation experienceSubject Matter Expert in the following areas:Financial Accounting: General Ledger, Allocations, Consolidations, Multicurrency, multibook accountingBusiness Assets: Asset Tracking, Depreciation, ASC 842 lease accounting, multibook asset accountingBank & Settlement: First Notice Rules, Matching Rules, Cash ForecastingExpenses: Corporate Credit Cards, Expense ReportsStrong understanding of ERP Systems, concepts, and touch points across various modules.Understanding Finance business processes and reportingStrong verbal and written communication skills to interact with Workday Finance stakeholdersAbility to accurately collect information from business users to understand and assess the users’ needs relative to Workday configurationAbility to gain a thorough understanding of Workday concepts as new features are releasedAbility to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolutionAbility to multitask and work on multiple engagements and deliverables simultaneouslyAbility to monitor, troubleshoot and debug Workday integrationsJIRA experience is a plusExperience integrating billing and revenue from third party systems is a plusCompensation for this role will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, qualifications, skills, geographic location, and market considerations. The anticipated compensation range for this position is -United States = $93,600 - $111,000 USD; Canada = $84,400 - $101,500 CAD- annually. In addition to base compensation, eligible employees may be offered other forms of compensation, such as bonuses, commissions, equity, or other incentive programs, where applicable. Compensation and benefits may vary by location and are subject to applicable legal, business, and market requirements.
