Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. seeks an experienced Workday Production Support Engineer to ensure the stability and availability of the Workday platform, including VNDLY. You will have hands-on experience supporting Workday applications, monitoring enterprise environments, and troubleshooting production issues.

You will monitor workloads using Splunk and Dynatrace, build dashboards, and collaborate with HR, procurement, and cross-functional teams to minimize disruption while continually improving operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT experience in production support with exposure to Level 2 support activities.
• Experience supporting Workday HCM and Workday VNDLY in production environments.
• Strong understanding of Workday business processes, security, reporting, and integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise, including queries, dashboards, and data onboarding.
• Hands-on experience with Dynatrace monitoring tools.
• Experience troubleshooting Workday integrations using EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, or APIs is preferred.
• Experience with Oracle/Advanced PL/SQL, Unix/Linux, and Autosys JIL scripts.
• Understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a global support organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for Workday HCM and Workday VNDLY, ensuring platform stability, performance, and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Workday production issues involving integrations, security, and data inconsistencies.
• Monitor Workday integrations and application health using Splunk Enterprise and Dynatrace.
• Build and maintain Splunk dashboards, alerts, queries, and reports.
• Configure and maintain Splunk and Dynatrace monitoring solutions.
• Implement full-stack monitoring across logs, metrics, and traces.
• Support Workday VNDLY integrations with Workday HCM and third-party vendor systems.
• Identify production failure scenarios and create incident, enhancement, and problem tickets.
• Analyze recurring production issues and recommend fixes and process improvements.
• Identify vulnerabilities and maintain operational metrics for continuous improvement.
• Take ownership of escalations and perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Perform analytical, technical, and administrative activities related to enterprise app/infrastructure support.
• Serve as escalation point for unresolved production incidents and service requests.
• Diagnose business process issues, security access problems, integration failures, and data inconsistencies.
• Assist testing and deploying Workday updates and releases with minimal business disruption.
• Collaborate with HR, Procurement, and cross-functional teams to support Workday and VNDLY operations.
