UW Information Technology has an outstanding opportunity for Senior Workday Payroll Engineer to join their team.
Reporting to the Application Manager for Time Tracking, Absence and Payroll, the Senior Workday Payroll Engineer will support Tier 3 Application Management functions in Workday HR/Payroll, a cloud-based human resource management software system. This position is responsible for system administration, configuring, maintaining, and managing an organization's Workday environment so it meets business and operational needs.

Hybrid working environment
Work environment deadlines include a semi-monthly ongoing payroll schedule for operations as well as project-driven effective dates and due dates. Occasional work outside of business hours for timed deployments, urgent support, or planned recurring work such as the twice yearly Workday Release weekend in March and September.
UW Information Technology (UWIT) is the central information technology organization for the University of Washington, responsible for strategic planning, oversight, and direction of the UW’s IT infrastructure, resources, and services. UWIT provides critical technology support to all three campuses, UW Medicine, and research operations around the world. UWIT partners with the UW community to enable innovation, learning, discovery, and service.
Data & Applications (D&A) is the division in UWIT that runs the university’s academic and business systems, productivity platforms, enterprise integrations, learning analytics and data for decision-making and is also responsible for the accessibility of UW’s digital resources. Workday Operations is a unit within the Data & Applications division.
Within the Data & Applications Workday Operations organization, the HR/Payroll Application Management team acts as the system administrator, configuration team for UW’s Workday HR/Payroll modules such as Human Capital Management, Compensation, Academic, Talent, Recruiting, Learning, Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence, and Payroll, delivering services that are timely, accurate and highly attuned to the fast-paced university environment.
