Job summary

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a Senior Workability Specialist to maximise asset availability and support RSAF aircraft readiness. You will work with the Workability Team Leader and RSAF customers to reduce criticality, develop tactical mitigations and report performance against contract goals.

The role requires experience in aerospace maintenance, strong stakeholder engagement, and knowledge of the Typhoon programme. Expatriate and local benefits apply, with a competitive salary package.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of aircraft engineering, maintenance and support standards.
  • Experience in a fast jet operations support environment.
  • Familiarity with the Typhoon from maintenance and design perspectives.
  • Previous RSAF and/or RAF engagement experience.
  • Broad network across BAESYSTEMS Saudi Arabia and UK support organisations.

JOB PURPOSE

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships.

This role is key to improving the performance of the SSS Ph4 contract by ensuring asset availability is maximised to increase and sustain aircraft availability to meet the contract KPMs namely 3rd Squadron Operational Readiness (OR) and the 10th/80th Non Mission Critical Supply (NMCS) measures.

In conjunction with the RSAF Customer the role will support making tactical decisions necessary to maintain those aircraft required to support the RSAF flying programme

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Support the Workability Team Leader in providing the necessary support to the RSAF fleet by ensuring that asset availability is fully optimised to reduce criticality and increase/sustain availability.
  • Identify, develop and project manage tactical solutions / mitigations to reduce individual asset criticality and preserve availability where required and to tangibly improve asset and platform availability.
  • Compliance to local SHE plans reporting on hazardous occurrences including accident /incident collation and reporting.
  • Build and maintain a constructive and trusting relationship with all stakeholders including the RSAF Customer, MODSAP, PC teams and the Typhoon core programme personnel providing and discharging the tactical and strategic integration activities, mitigation activities and stakeholder engagement.
  • Provision of frequent reporting to support findings, status, achievements and performance indicators for the various levels of stakeholders.
  • Provide support to all Workability Team Leader for all Taif Operational & Management Reviews.
  • Where required support on-going Engineering and Life Cycle Management activities including the definition of engineering change and capability insertion and promotion of Learning from Experience (LfE) to future contract negotiations.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Essential
  • Knowledge and experience of aircraft engineering, maintenance and support standards
  • Knowledge and experience of working in a fast jet operations support environment
  • Knowledge of the Typhoon aircraft, from a maintenance, support and design perspective.
  • Previous experience of working with the RSAF and/or the RAF.
  • Knowledge and network base across both the BAESYSTEMS Saudi Arabia organisation and the wider UK support organisations.
  • Experience of wide stakeholder management within both the MODSAP and RSAF organisations
RECRUITMENT
