Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Work Management Section Manager for the Erwin, TN site.

The role leads the Work Management function, integrating maintenance actions, calibration activities, and capital project work into the Erwin master schedule while maintaining control over work package generation and closeout. The position requires a strong engineering background, extensive nuclear experience (20+ years) with 10+ years in management, and solid leadership, budgeting, and problem-solving

Qualifications

• B.S. Engineering or Engineering Technology; Graduate degree preferred but not required plus over ten (10) years' experience.
• Minimum 20 years' nuclear work experience with at least 10 years' management experience within the nuclear industry (operations, maintenance or project management).
• Team leadership, initiative, and decision-making abilities acquired through experience are essential for success.
• Broad working knowledge of radiation protection, material control, and criticality safety required.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership and direction to assigned staff.
• Integrate and motivate personnel with varied functional responsibilities and develop coordination within and between work groups to meet objectives.
• Ensure activities comply with procedural, regulatory, and union requirements; set priorities and assign tasks.
• Review and approve departmental cost and schedules; monitor spending to meet budget requirements.
• Motivate personnel to achieve safety, quality, and schedule objectives; drive cost reductions.
• Promote team building and professional development across management.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned by senior leadership.
• Be an effective member of the senior management team; deliver quantifiable results in Work Management and Work Control.
