Job summary

Rockler Companies, Inc. in Portland/Beaverton, Oregon seeks a Senior Sales Retail Associate for our woodworking specialty store. The role centers on attentive customer service, product demonstrations, and driving sales of tools and supplies.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, handling refunds, managing POS transactions, and aiding with store upkeep and merchandising to present a Total solution for customers’ projects.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of woodworking and hand tools required.
• Prior retail sales experience desirable.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to assist with store upkeep and merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Open/close store as directed by the manager and assist with merchandising.
• Handle refunds and overrides; balance cash register and maintain records.
• Greet customers and assist with product questions and applications.
• Sell woodworking supplies; demonstrate and explain product use.
• Promote the Total solution approach by suggesting related items and services.
• Maintain neat, stocked displays and general housekeeping.
• Assist with unloading trucks and other duties as assigned.
