Job summary

Domtar Johnsonburg, PA seeks a Wood Procurement Manager to oversee planning, procurement and administration of pulpwood contracts and chip supply agreements, ensuring budget targets and inventory goals. You will lead relationships with suppliers, land managers and government bodies, and coordinate with accounting for wood settlements and financial reporting.

The role requires a BS in forestry, 10+ years in forest production and purchasing, and strong communication and leadership skills;

Qualifications

• BS degree in forestry or related field is required.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in forest production and purchasing.
• Knowledge of wood procurement, wood quality, and market conditions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, procurement and administration of pulpwood contracts and chip supply agreements.
• Foster and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders (suppliers, land managers, government agencies).
• Model Domtar values in relationships with wood suppliers and contractors.
• Ensure procured pulpwood and chips meet quality specifications.
• Coordinate with Wood Yard and Pulp Department for safe, efficient operations.
• Collaborate with Accounting for wood settlements, inventory, and financial reporting.
