Job summary

Business Integra in Washington DC is seeking a Wireless Network Survey Engineer to plan, survey, install and configure wireless networks with a strong emphasis on customer service. The role requires journeyman knowledge of networking, security and WLAN/LAN/WAN architectures.

Responsibilities include delivering WLAN implementation and optimization services, supporting project delivery, and developing network implementation plans while coordinating with senior management on deliverables.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of wireless broadband and/or tactical communications experience.
• RF Survey/Engineering and RF troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on survey tools experience (AirMagnet, iBwave, TEMS, JDSU).
• Experience with key WLAN vendors (Aruba, Cisco, Fluke).
• Produce and review technical documentation.
• Understanding of WLAN authentication, security and network management.
• Experience deploying Secure Mobility, Voice over WLAN, LBTS, and Wireless Guest Access.

Responsibilities

• Deliver WLAN implementation and optimization services.
• Provide configuration and integration support within projects.
• Provide operational support for wireless network deployments.
• Lead complex performance engineering or problem-resolution projects.
• Assist in development of business and technical requirements.
• Assist in high/low-level design activities.
• Assist in network implementation planning.
• Assist in configuration and connectivity activities including test planning and cutover.
