Job summary

Qualcomm Atheros, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software that enables cutting-edge Wi-Fi products. You will work with systems, hardware, and validation teams to deliver high-quality wireless solutions.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s with 2+ years, or higher degrees with related experience, and strong C/C++, Python or Java skills, plus Linux kernel and networking knowledge. Travel to customer sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 2+ years of software engineering experience.
• Master's degree with 1+ year experience or PhD in related field.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Java or Python and strong Linux kernel knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, unit test, and document Wi-Fi 7/8 protocol features.
• Design and maintain Linux wireless drivers for Qualcomm AP SoCs.
• Analyze requirements to optimize wireless system performance and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and regression testing.
• Bring up and validate driver functions on new hardware platforms.
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, validation, and systems teams.
• Upstream ath12k and related drivers into the Linux kernel.
• Produce design documents, specifications, and feature documentation.
