Job summary

Hubble Network is hiring a Sr. Wireless Systems Engineer to advance our satellite-based BLE location accuracy and pursue forward-looking downlink timing and positioning research.

You will refine algorithms, model errors, and design experiments across RF and space systems teams. The role emphasizes rigorous first-principles analysis, rapid iteration, and close collaboration with hardware, software, and space systems groups in Seattle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field; Masters/PhD preferred.
• Deep grounding in communication theory and signal processing (channel estimation, equalization, timing/frequency recovery, coding).
• Experience with geolocation/positioning algorithms (TDOA, FDOA, multilateration) is a strong plus.
• Strong knowledge of wireless communications fundamentals (FSK, OFDM, MIMO, spread spectrum).
• Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python and/or C/C++ for modeling and prototyping.
• Lab bring-up and RF test equipment experience (spectrum analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope).
• Ability to work independently across incremental optimization and exploratory research.

Responsibilities

• Improve accuracy of BLE-to-satellite location estimation and related algorithms.
• Characterize dominant error sources and prioritize mitigation.
• Build and refine geolocation models and validate improvements.
• Design experiments: simulation, emulation, and over-the-air tests.
• Translate algorithm improvements into deployed accuracy gains with teams.
