ASD seeks a Wireless Network Engineer to help ensure the NIH network wireless infrastructure has widespread coverage and is resilient, secure, and operational for the NIH community to progress science. You will coordinate actions to reduce IT workload on researchers and collaborate across the CIT to serve NIH as ONE team.

Formación

• Minimum three (3) years of wireless network administration experience.
• Experience with Ekahau, Cisco Insider, wireless survey tools.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with certification.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VPN, STP, UDP.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure NIH wireless infrastructure has wide coverage and resilience and is secure and operational for the NIH community to progress science.
• Coordinate work actions to reduce the burden on customers so they can focus on science.
• Collaborate with the NIH CIT and other service areas to serve NIH as ONE CIT.
• Respond quickly to incidents and outages to maximize network uptime.
• Apply knowledge of evolving wireless technologies to develop solutions for a fast-paced federal enterprise.
