Job summary

Wipro Limited in Massachusetts seeks a Principal Wireless Network Engineer to modernize and enhance the US network infrastructure. You will design, deploy and optimize enterprise WLAN, lead RF surveys, and drive high-speed connectivity solutions with SDWAN integration.

The role requires hands-on WLAN expertise with Cisco/Aruba, RF fundamentals, and experience with Ekahau/Hamina survey tools. Travel to National Grid sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Extensive WLAN experience with Cisco/Aruba technologies.
• Deep RF knowledge including channel planning and interference mitigation.
• Experience with 802.11 WiFi standards (WiFi 5/6/6E/7) and EAP/RADIUS.
• Proficient with wireless survey tools (Ekahau, Hamina).
• Knowledge of 5G platforms and Cradlepoint or similar solutions.
• Aruba ClearPass for 802.1X and role-based access.
• Ability to travel ad-hoc to National Grid locations for surveys.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and optimise enterprise WLAN across offices and industrial sites.
• Conduct predictive and on-site wireless surveys; perform RF analysis.
• Lead troubleshooting for complex WiFi issues including authentication & interference.
• Create Low Level Designs (LLDs) for WiFi, NAC, and related services.
• Produce BoMs for deployments and upgrades; support lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with IT, operations and platform teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Contribute to standards, best practices, and knowledge sharing within the chapter.
