Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. IT Wireless Network Engineer to design, deploy, and manage enterprise wireless networks across SpaceX sites.

You will design access point placements, conduct wireless surveys, troubleshoot issues, and maintain documentation in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. The role requires a strong background in wireless/RF, CBRS deployments, Cisco WLAN controllers, and network monitoring tools; CCNA/CCNP/CCIE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other engineering discipline with 5+ years of professional network engineering experience.
• Willingness to work long hours, some nights and weekends to meet deadlines.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass Air Force background checks for Vandenberg and Cape Canaveral.

Responsibilities

• Design access point placements for new wireless network deployments.
• Work with network infrastructure team to ensure proper deployment.
• Perform wireless surveys to identify coverage gaps and remediation.
• Troubleshoot wireless issues across a large enterprise deployment.
• Schedule and perform software and hardware updates.
• Procure and manage wireless hardware inventory.
• Monitor wireless network health using tools.
• Create and maintain documentation of wireless networks across sites.
