Job summary

Global Connect Technologies is seeking a Wire Harness Design Engineer in Shawano, WI, full-time. You will design and route wiring harnesses, develop drawings and schematics, create 3D models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development.

Experience: 5–7 years in electrical harness design for off-highway, heavy equipment, or automotive vehicles; proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD Electrical; knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
5–7 years of experience in wire harness design for off-highway, heavy equipment, automotive, or industrial vehicles.
Strong hands-on experience in electrical harness routing and packaging.
Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D harness routing and assembly modeling.
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical for wiring diagrams and schematic development.
Knowledge of electrical components, connectors, cable routing, brackets, enclosures, and harness installation practices.
Experience creating manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards, GD&T, and documentation practices.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in cross-functional and global teams.]
