Job summary

Belay Technologies is seeking a Senior Windows System Administrator to join an Agile SAFe team supporting a complex program. You will perform daily systems administration across VMware hosts and Windows/Linux guests, with on‑call duties and a focus on security and performance.

The role requires managing AD, DNS, GPOs, SCCM, Exchange, and delivering patching, vulnerability remediation, and IAVA actions in a DoD-aligned environment. Located in Maryland, strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field with 12 years of relevant experience.
Experience documenting and supporting security accreditation and certification activities.
Experience with network security technologies, PKI, SSPs, and vulnerability assessments.
Experience with data center design and configuration, including rack & stack, power planning, and equipment placement.
Experience with VMware.
Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, networking incl. switches/routers.

Responsibilities

Monitor test infrastructure systems, applications, and processes to identify and resolve issues.
Support server/router/firewall configuration and security management; optimize performance.
Manage IAVA responses, system security scans, and patch deployments.
Produce and maintain clear documentation and handle user communications.
Provide on-call support for system administration, O&M tasks, and IT enhancements.
Collaborate with partner workgroups and maintain interdepartmental cooperation.
