Empower AI in Reston, VA, seeks a Senior Windows Administrator to join our Windows team. You will support Windows Server 2019/2022, ensure DoD cybersecurity compliance, and help manage mission-critical Army IT services across data centers and cloud environments.

The role is remote-eligible with on-site or hybrid options in the Roanoke/Radford region. Qualified candidates bring hands-on Windows admin expertise, strong DoD security knowledge, and a collaborative mindset to deliver secure, reliable

Qualifications

Five+ years as Windows Systems Administrator/Engineer.
Three+ years automating tasks with PowerShell.
Experience with IIS/Apache and complex applications/websites.
Five+ years' experience in complex networking environments (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP).
Five+ years' experience managing Active Directory structures.
Five+ years' experience creating/maintaining MS Group Policy implementations.

Responsibilities

Manage Windows Server 2019/2022 systems for mixed environments.
Plan, execute, and implement new hardware and software.
Create and maintain team technical instructions, operating procedures, and policies.
Monitor and tune system performance; harden servers and report status.
Recommend enterprise improvements and manage new software/hardware integrations.
Produce utilization reports to identify problems and corrective actions.
Support lifecycle of a mixed vendor equipment environment in the datacenter.
Occasionally travel to government facilities or data centers as needed.
