Job summary

Nationwide IT Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to ensure stable, secure operation of enterprise software systems, servers, and applications on site in Battle Creek, MI.

The role supports a proposal effort and requires DoD clearance and 8570/8140 baseline certification. The candidate will plan, install, maintain, and optimize server platforms, network software, and information management across multiple locations, directing other admins and driving improvements in security

Qualifications

• Ten years of specialized experience with multiple hardware and software disciplines.
• At least four years hands‑on experience installing, configuring, and supporting enterprise software.
• Bachelor level degree in a technical field is required.
• Nationally recognized certification in a relevant technical authority.
• Tier 5 investigation and Secret clearance required.
• DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification at IAT II or IAT III.
• DLA‑approved computing‑environment qualifications for Server Admin M and Domain Admin Z.
• Experience administering enterprise servers, apps, and network services.
• Experience leading other system administrators and coordinating priorities.
• Demonstrated knowledge of vulnerability management and secure configurations.

Responsibilities

• Hands‑on Windows Server engineering and admin, Active Directory, PKI, GPO, patching, and security incident response.
• Plan, install, configure, and optimize enterprise server platforms and communications links.
• Organize and direct configuration and maintenance of information‑management systems.
• Provide maintenance support for ops systems across multiple locations.
• Resolve end‑user, performance, access, and network‑connectivity issues.
• Analyze capacity, availability, and performance; recommend changes.
• Automate recurring admin tasks with approved tools and scripts.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce admin procedures and runbooks.
• Train system administrators and perform knowledge transfer.
• Direct and coordinate work of other admins and prioritize across systems.
• Apply advanced knowledge of high‑availability, load balancing, and fault tolerance.
• Perform vulnerability management including remediation and reporting.
• Monitor system health and security; conduct root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Recommend technology direction and infrastructure improvements.
