Job summary

BeyondTrust is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to own Windows kernel-mode enforcement for the Identity Security Platform. This remote role focuses on in-kernel decision making, ensuring real-time protection across Windows endpoints and coordinating with Linux/macOS teams.

You will design and own kernel drivers (file-system, process, registry), manage enforcement boundaries, optimize latency, and push updates across fleets while maintaining safety and compatibility.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in systems-level software engineering.
• Proven Windows kernel driver development experience.
• Shipped a file-system minifilter or similar driver.
• Experience with WHQL attestation and code signing.
• Strong debugging and performance profiling in kernel space.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own kernel-mode enforcement drivers for Windows.
• Own the kernel/user-mode boundary and optimize latency.
• Extend enforcement to Windows containers and Host Compute Service workloads.
• Collaborate with Linux and macOS teams on shared policy and events.
• Mentor engineers and drive end-to-end ownership from design to production.
