Job summary

Speechify is seeking a seasoned Windows desktop architect/developer to lead design and delivery of native apps across the Windows platform. You will work with Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, and XAML to build fast, accessible, and scalable software.

You will collaborate with designers, QA, and product teams to drive feature roadmaps and ensure high-quality releases. A strong emphasis on performance, reliability, and usability defines this role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Windows desktop development using Windows App SDK and WinUI (or similar).
• Deep understanding of Windows architecture including interop between managed (.NET) and native code.
• Proven track record designing, building, and shipping production-grade desktop apps with reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop apps using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, and optionally C++.
• Define best practices for code architecture, performance, memory usage, and cross-version compatibility.
• Drive accessibility and ensure UI controls, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader support.
• Collaborate with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and other stakeholders to shape feature roadmaps.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle of features from conception to maintenance and releases.
