Job summary

BV Teck is seeking an experienced PTC Solutions Developer to design, develop, and support Windchill customizations and integrations. Collaborate with PLM functional consultants and engineering stakeholders to translate requirements into solid Windchill solutions, leveraging Java customization, data models, and integration patterns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Five or more years of PTC Windchill development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with the Windchill Java API.
• Solid experience with workflows, lifecycle templates, and object initialization rules.
• Working knowledge of Info*Engine and Windchill integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with JSP/HTML client customization.
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with the Windchill data model.
• Experience with Windchill upgrades and migrations.
• Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Windchill customizations using the Windchill Java API.
• Build listeners, services, and processors that extend Windchill behavior.
• Develop and configure Windchill workflows, lifecycle templates, and object initialization rules.
• Implement Info*Engine tasks and adapters for system integration with stakeholders.
• Build JSP/HTML client-side extensions as needed with proper documentation.
• Design Windchill reports using Cognos integration.
• Configure Windchill tools, RBINFO files, and OIRs.
• Migrate legacy PLM data into Windchill with careful planning.
• Optimize performance of code and database queries with DBAs.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the team.
