Job summary

Friendship Village of Dublin is seeking an engaged Wellness/Fitness Trainer to provide one-on-one training for seniors and plan multiple fitness classes weekly. The role involves managing indoor and outdoor recreation programs and supporting the Wellness Center operations.

The ideal candidate holds ACE Certification and CPR, with a Personal Training Certification required and group fitness certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Remain current on new research in the Wellness/Fitness arena.
• Valid ACE Certifications
• Valid CPR
• Assist in maintaining Fitness Center equipment.
• Experience in leading recreational activities.
• Must possess excellent communication, public speaking, time management, and organizational skills.
• Must be able to affectively read, write, and communicate in English.
• Personal Training Certification required.
• Group fitness certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• One-on-one personal training for seniors.
• Planning and instruction of multiple fitness classes throughout the week.
• Overseeing and planning of indoor and outdoor Recreation programs.
• Operate indoor/outdoor recreation program.
• Assist in teaching group fitness score and provide personal training.
• Provide technical help with Community Engagement App and other projects.
• Maintain knowledge of Friendship Village of Dublin and refer residents to appropriate programs.
• Overall knowledge of the Wellness Center and its offerings, equipment, policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Wellness Center staff to ensure optimal service.
• Communicate effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
