Job summary

National Lutheran Communities & Services is looking for a passionate Fitness Specialist to join The Village at Orchard Ridge in Winchester, Virginia. In this role, you will inspire residents to achieve their personal fitness and wellness goals through engaging classes and programs while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate should have certifications in First Aid/CPR/AED and CPO, as well as dynamic skills to motivate residents. Join a supportive team that values your dedication and offers opportunities for personal and professional growth!

Qualifications

• Prior group fitness leadership; experience working with seniors a plus.
• Aquatics experience or a strong willingness to learn and grow in Aquatics is a priority.
• Capable of lifting at least 25 pounds and moving about the Center as needed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and motivate residents and guests, fostering a supportive fitness environment.
• Plan and lead engaging group classes and one-on-one fitness sessions.
• Assist in developing and implementing aquatic programs.
• Serve as a back-up lifeguard and Certified Pool Operator.
• Ensure pool functions operate per established policies and procedures.
• Monitor compliance with local, state, and national standards.
