Job summary

RWDY Inc. is seeking a Project Well Planner IV in Midland, TX to lead complex well planning for multi-well programs. You will work with the drilling team to optimize performance, ensure accurate wellbore positioning, and manage data in Landmark EDM (Compass) while coordinating with regulatory and engineering teams.

The role requires 5+ years in well planning, 1+ years with an oil & gas operator, and experience in unconventional reservoirs. On-call duties outside standard hours are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5 years of well planning experience in upstream industry required.
• 1+ years working directly for an oil and gas operating company required.
• 1+ years in unconventional reservoir plays required.
• Able and willing to be on call outside standard working hours.

Responsibilities

• Design complex well plans for a multi-well/multi-pad drilling program.
• Collaborate with the drilling team to ensure cost-effective performance.
• Apply knowledge of survey programs for wellbore positioning accuracy.
• Gather offset well data for collision avoidance analysis.
• Generate anti-collision reports and plots for project review.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for well permitting and execution.
• Coordinate with core disciplines to integrate objectives into development plans.
• Communicate with Planning Teams to explore design constraint mitigation options.
• Track project progression from conception to execution.
• Use Landmark EDM (Compass) expertly and manage its database for accuracy.
• Use AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite proficiently.
• Participate in COP benchmarking to transfer best practices.
