Job summary

The Senior Certified Welding Inspector III acts as the welding quality authority across projects, writing and reviewing welding quality programs, supervising CWIs and Inspectors, and coordinating with engineers, owners, and officials on welding matters.

Preferred AWS SCWI; a CWI with eight or more years of documented inspection leadership is considered. Expect travel and a pathway to leadership within the practice.

Qualifications

• AWS SCWI preferred; CWI with 8+ years of welding inspection leadership.
• Ability to write welding quality programs for structural/industrial/pipeline work.
• Knowledge of welding codes and NDT coordination and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans, inspection procedures, and NDT procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects and review their reports.
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems; witness procedure qualification testing.
